Wild Congo

11:26
The Congo: more powerful and dangerous than any other river, yet a sanctuary and home for some of the most wonderful creatures on our Earth. "Wild Congo" follows the second largest river on Earth from its source in Zambia on its journey through marshland areas and rainforests. Biologists consider it to be the cradle of evolution: an experimental location for the emergence of new species! The shoebill, elephant fish and blind eel are just a few examples of the wildlife of the Congo and its astounding ability to adapt. Being separated by the water masses of the Congo River has also enabled our closest relatives, chimpanzees and bonobos, to develop completely different social systems, with violence and oppression reigning on one side of the river while care and tenderness take precedence on the other. Another life begins further down the river, where the Congo flows into the Atlantic and turtles hatch on the beach as they begin their lifelong battle against the ocean.

The Incredible Dr Pol

16:17
From four alpacas who belong in a boxing ring and animals that can't stand on their own four feet, to a bloody bulldog and a swarm of creepy crawlers: It's another not so average week for Dr. Pol and his team! Dr. Pol hits the road to House Farms to handle an emergency calving, where time is always a factor for mother and calf. A bone has cracked and fallen into the pelvis of the cow, blocking the calf's way out. It is time for Dr. Pol to show his "incredible" form! Back at the clinic, we meet a 92-pound American bulldog named Brutus, who lives up to his name. Brutus is clearly in distress with blood running down his legs, and is anything but eager to let Dr. Emily check out his backside. Outside, Dr. Pol meets four adorable, but feisty alpacas who are dealing with a little sibling rivalry. With the help of Charles, Dr. Pol will castrate them in hopes that once the "gloves" are off, this family of alpacas will get along better. Across town at Fox Dairy, Dr. Brenda responds to an emergency farm call for a cow that is unable to stand. In her first attempt to get the cow to its feet, Dr. Brenda is nearly crushed as it flails violently and knocks into her medical case. Will the cow once again find its hooving? Similarly, in the clinic parking lot, Dr. Pol is also faced with an animal in need of a hand standing up. Nima, a rescued goat, has hooves so overgrown that she cannot walk. Nothing that one of Dr. Pol's expert pedicures can't fix!

The Incredible Dr Pol

17:04
From constipated puppies to deadly diseases and nasty dogfights, the pups that visit PVS are having a ruff day. The Pol clinic treats nearly 40 thousand canine patients, so this hair-raising episode focuses on man's best friend and their ear-perking tales. This puppy parade includes everything from strict quarantine for a very contagious pooch to a more complicated hip surgery for a doggie that's been in a car accident. We'll even get a glimpse into the homes of some staff members to meet their furry pals and hear why they can't live without them. Whether the cute canines are their very own or those of their patients, the Pol team is sure to get these four-legged friends back to chasing their tails in no time!

The Incredible Dr Pol

17:51
It's an emotional time for the Pol's as they say farewell to their beloved Great Dane Frija. But the clients keep flooding into the clinic and the show must go on. It's not an easy week and these cases are quite a handful! These vets are up against an uncooperative German shepherd with gunshot wounds, an adorable fluffy kitten with a not-so adorable mite infestation, and a pregnant cow that tests Dr. Emily's heroics!

The Incredible Dr Pol

18:37
Broken toes, worm infestations, and nursing puppies create the whirlwind of patients at Pol Vet this week. This should be routine for the team, but today, Dr. Pol and Diane are short-handed. On top of that, Charles goes out of town at the last minute, so the Pols need backup! Dr. Pol and Diane's grandchildren, Adam and Rachel, hurry to help out. Adam answers farm calls with Dr. Grand-Pol and Rachel stays in the office cleaning and rinsing dog dung from the kennels. Stakes are high as Dr. Elizabeth frantically calls for reinforcements and Dr. Emily performs two lifesaving surgeries on one of the worst cases she's ever seen!
